Psychotherapy in Connecticut

Support. Growth. Resilience. Connection.

At Solstice Healthcare, our psychotherapy services are grounded in evidence, empathy, and collaboration. We work with clients ages 10+ who are navigating anxiety, mood challenges, transitions, ADHD, and other mental health concerns. Delivered via secure telehealth for residents of Connecticut, our approach helps you build insight, tools, and long-term well-being.

What Is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy (sometimes called talk therapy) is a structured process to explore thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and patterns. It gives you tools for coping, growing, and changing. It’s not just “venting” — it’s active, focused work with a therapist to:

The Importance of Early Intervention in Mental Health

Identify unhelpful or distressing thoughts, emotions, and behaviors

  • Adolescents (10–17) — managing school stress, peer relationships, mood shifts, family dynamics
  • College Students & Young Adults — life transitions, identity, anxiety, self-esteem, academic pressures
  • Adults — career stress, mood disorders, relationship issues, burnout, coping with loss or change

Our Psychotherapy Approach

When you engage in therapy with us, here’s what you can expect:

Evidence-Based Therapies We use approaches supported by research, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation skills, and others depending on your needs.
Personalized Care Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. We tailor interventions to your symptoms, goals, pace, and preferences.
Collaborative Goal Work We co-construct goals: what you want to change, what you want to feel, and what kind of progress matters to you.
Integrated Care If you are being evaluated or managed for medication or other services, we collaborate to make sure everything is coherent and supportive.
Safe & Confidential Telehealth Sessions via secure video, with protocols to maintain privacy, comfort, and consistency. Ideal for many who find in-person difficult.

Mental Health FAQs

Do you offer therapy across age groups and via telehealth?

Yes. We see clients aged 10+ and offer services via secure online platforms. All services comply with Connecticut regulations and telehealth privacy standards.

How long until I see progress?

Some people begin to notice shifts (better coping, less distress) in a few weeks; deeper changes often take several months, depending on the issue and consistency.

What if I’m also doing medication management or an evaluation?

Therapy complements those services. We coordinate with your other providers, and can integrate therapeutic work with medication or diagnostic insights so treatment is cohesive.

What should I have ready for my first therapy session?

  • A sense of what’s been most difficult lately — symptoms, stressors, what you’d like to be different
  • Any relevant history (mental health, therapy, medications)
  • Goals: what you hope to gain or change
  • Openness to trying different tools and reflecting on progress

How confidential is telehealth therapy?

Very. We use secure, encrypted platforms. Your therapy notes are private. We follow all legal and ethical standards for confidentiality. If there are safety concerns (harm to self/others), we will discuss those protocols clearly.
